- Please refrain from bringing the children to the PET / CT center.
- Please refrain from bringing the pregnant women to the PET / CT center.
- Always a small amount of radioactive substance is released into breast milk. If possible, scans should be made in breastfeeding women after lactation has ended. If this is not possible, it is strongly recommended that the mother breast milk is stored to feed the baby after the scan. In addition, breast milk should be extracted and discarded for the first 2 hours after scanning. After 12-14 hours, direct breastfeeding from the mother's breast can continue as usual.
- Radiation recorders at airports are usually not sensitive to the amount of radioactivity in the patient's body, usually 24 hours after FDG PET / CT. If you intend to fly during the first 24 hours after imaging, be sure to provide a PET / CT center letter.
- After scanning, it is necessary to avoid close contact with pregnant women or children under the age of 7 for 12 hours.
